Concept to Completion, continued....

Day 2...

I used this salvaged hay baling cord and wrapped it with the same fabrics used in the body of the piece.  There is a hidden magnetic closure.

Here it is completed.  If you compare it to my original sketch book idea, you will see that I edited out the embellishments I had planned on adding to the bottom of the pendent.  I tried it with various beads and baubles and it looked too busy.  Simple is sometimes better.  There is enough going on here with color and texture without adding more competing elements.
